Intrepid Air Charter Launches Membership Program
Charter-brokerage and advisory firm tailors membership and rates to individual needs
Portsmouth, NH: 7/5/2023, Intrepid Air Charter, announced the formation and launch of its membership program.
Different by design, the membership program provides a global service area and is geared to be flexible on terms to meet a client’s specific needs and requirements. Each membership is bespoke, and the program offers fixed-rates to both customers who wish to place funds on deposit or “pay-as-you-go” similar to on-demand charter. Better yet, funds do not expire and are fully refundable – subject to a minor exit fee.
The program operates under a “funds” framework versus “hours”, where clients receive an hourly rate and rate-lock, with funds to be used for flight time as well as ancillary services such as catering, ground transportation, or other flight related expenses. A different approach from purchasing a “block” of hours.
VanderPloeg stated, “The program structure is geared for Intrepid to say ‘yes’ to a customer’s unique needs and requirements. We are not abandoning a market or client base because they may be more expensive to serve or located in a challenging geography. We have crafted a program where we may customize terms to best align with each individual client. We have also engineered the program to furnish a rate on a particular set itinerary or route to provide consistency in spend, or a known budget, if a customer regularly operates a particular route.”
VanderPloeg also shared, “We do not want to any client to feel as though Intrepid is a handcuff or tether, because they have placed funds on deposit. We believe that Intrepid as an obligation to earn our clients’ business and trust on every flight, which is why we are pleased to offer a pay-as-you-go framework.”
The program has the traditional components of any jet card or membership program – daily and segment minimums, insurance guarantees, a rate-lock, and fixed hourly rates for the various aircraft categories. However the terms are bespoke to each customer. There is no rate card. There is no “standard” or one-size-fits-all.
Of note, the program has a global footprint, which can be honed to a specific market or continent. But the program provides hourly rates for North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.
For North America and Europe, Daily Minimums range from 1.5 to 3.0 block hours, depending on aircraft category and geographic location, and Segment Minimums range from 1.0 to 3.0 block hours. Certain markets in South America or Asia may incur higher daily minimums.
Hourly rates range from $6,500 for turboprops, to around $8,000 for Light jets, and upwards to more than $20,000 for Ultra Long Range (ULR) jets, such as the Gulfstream G650ER and Bombardier Global 7500, as well as Airbus Corporate Jets (ACJs), Boeing Business Jets (BBJs), and other similar VIP airliners like the Embraer Lineage 1000.
To discuss membership, contact Intrepid’s advisory team at: sales@intrepidjets.com. Each prospective client receives a one hour complimentary advisory call to review historical flight activity and spend, future flight activity, aircraft preferences and mission requirements, budget, and customer values – to understand what facets of a program an individual client values and must be tailored to.
